From His Word

Joshua 24:15
"If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

Prayer and Praise

  • God's Perfect Provision
  • Allow us to teach our children His ways
  • His pefect plan for children (brothers & sisters?)

LEGOs ??

Marand really isn't sticking out his tongue at Jacob in this photo....our Dr. told us to encourage Jacob to mimic us, like stick out your tongue, open your mouth etc. and he'll follow suit. We had such a blast with that! It really works! We may be a touch on the bias side, but Jacob is a pretty smart cookie!

Michelle dares to ask "where did all the LEGO go?" Rest assured, they're still here! Marand is just dying for Jacob to be big enough to play with them! A big Thanks to Birth Grandpa Dave for the "vintage" set! They fit right in :)

May your day be blessed.....

JACOB!

In the nursery

Good Morning! Our time schedule is a touch on the "up in the air" side, so this might not be morning for some of you :) Thanks for our sling Aunt Steph, Jacob loves it! We are getting such a kick out of our flash cards.....tons of fun.

Our first Dr. visit yesterday went well. Jacob weighs in at 8lbs 6oz. He thought it was pretty funny to pee all over himself while being weighed by the nurse, almost got his eye! Oh the joys of little boys! Have a great day!

Home Sweet Home

We made it safely home. Again, we express - Thanks to all our family and friends! Both Marand and I and Sarah have such amazing support groups, we couldn't do this without you all. We stand to testify to the works of our loving Heavenly Father. The placement ceremony was such a beautiful thing, I'll leave you with the word from scripture the pastor shared:

Job 10:12 "You gave me life and showed me kindness; and in your providence watched over my spirit"

Now we sleep, or do our best at trying (wink, wink :) Thanks again for loving us! All praise, honor and glory to our Jesus.

A Day in the Life of Jacob Randy

Well, words can hardly explain how good God is and how clearly we can see His orchestraration of this entire adoption process.  This journey has been and continues to be a testimony to His faithfullness and love.

Sarah is recovering very well.  This past 18 hours or so has been a great time of bonding and fellowship between two families.  Again, it is incredible to see how God's perfect plan can be so ... well..... perfect.

Rachel began nursing right away and she was able to stay the night at the hospital with Jacob and Sarah (hmm, who ever knew they could do that).

Jacob is a very healthy (and good looking) boy.  He is eating well and properly disposing of the processed waste (believe me I know).
