From His Word

Joshua 24:15
"If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

Prayer and Praise

  • God's Perfect Provision
  • Allow us to teach our children His ways
  • His pefect plan for children (brothers & sisters?)

Summers are FULL!....

....Full of good stuff. We've been going, going, going this summer - With Vacation Bible Schools, park picnics, graduations, weddings, pet sits, and play dates there has been no grass growing under our feet!

I can't say that I've ever climbed to the top of a pine tree before....

But Jacob has!!...

Good job Ben!

Praying for all the youth God has placed in our circle of influence...Proverbs 8:10-11 "Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it."

Oh these littles....

The big 40!

I made it!

Today, 40 years ago, is the day my sweet mama, by the grace of God, gave birth to her last baby. My hard-working dad deemed me 'o.k.' even if I wasn't a boy....hahaha! Little did he know, I'd have him wrapped, in all the good ways, around my little finger before too long.

I was born into a God-fearing family that already housed two boys an a girl.

Thanks God, for life.

So, hooray for a trip 'home' - headed to Papa Don and Mom's house where I spent 18+ years growing up. I get to spend time with my brothers and their families, my kids get to run and play ....Happy Birthday to me! This all after a well needed facial at a spa this morning, Marand is spoiling me with, my eyebrows and upper lip are needing some serious attention! Hahahaha!

Our picnic by the lake yesterday was super....

I thumbed through my Bible this morning and decided to read Psalm 39 in honor of that year passing....and needless to say, as the God's holy words ALWAYS do, it rang true - I can testify with King David, that I have my hope in the one true, living GOD!

Psalm 39:4 "Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am. Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee; verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah. Surely every man walks in a vain show; surely they are disquieted in vain; he heaps up riches, and knows not who shall gather them. and now, Lord, what wait I for?

MY HOPE IS IN THEE!"

C.J.'s Adventure Birthday!

Hahaha! This is a really bad photo - but you get the idea that the 'bigs' got to help dad make the 'stations' in their p.j.'s outside in the dark the night before the party!

Birthday boy was a little bit shy....but had a ball!

Jacob, Mya, Caroline....so big.

Cousin Zaire!

And birth family from Denver came to make it super special! Family Rocks.

Cousin Zamiah!

Uncle Javarri! and Shayla came as well.

Thanking God for a five year old boy....and for all his FAMILY!!  Blessed beyond measure.

Living the life!

So....Marand gets the 'dad' award...He.Is.Super.

and seriously....how can this boy be ready for kindergarten graduation?!?  Yea, Isaac!

and the 'baby' has got the 'bigs' wrapped around her little finger!

So after much prayer, it seems to be a 'closed door' on the garage building for now...we'll just keep that 'dream' in the back pocket for another time. I'm so thankful for the ways God directs my steps. 'His word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path'.
